Guest talk on Machine Learning (ML)
On 10 September 2025, we will conclude this year’s PharMetrX academic module “Introduction to population analysis” (A3) with the guest talk “Scientific Machine Learning (ML) vs. classical ML vs. Nonlinear Mixed Effects (NLME) modelling” by Diego Valderrama, Department of Bioinformatics, Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing (SCAI), Sankt Augustin. Diego Velderrama’s current research focuses on hybrid AI models to combine machine learning and pharmacological models to predict and analyze the effect of biomedical variables on patients' behavior for clinical studies.
