New insights into cortisol replacement therapy optimization - our latest publication by Davide Bindellini et al. in July. Model-informed precision dosing for novel and established therapeutic modalities in oncology - invited conference talk by Fenja Klima in September.
Our manuscript “A quantitative modeling framework to understand the physiology of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and interaction with cortisol replacement therapy“ by Davide Bindellini et al. has been published online in the Journal of Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics. In continuation of the work from our former PhD student Johanna Melin, Davide expanded her hydrocortisone pharmacokinetic model to include endogenous ACTH and cortisol, allowing to study the impact of disease and therapy on the endogenous system. His work continues the collaboration with our partners from Charité-Univeristätsmedizin Berlin and University of Sheffield.
Fenja Klima will give an invited talk on “Towards understanding CAR-T cell kinetics and dynamics: Optimization of clinical trials and clinical practice using modelling and simulation” at 22nd International Congress of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring & Clinical Toxicology (IATDMCT) in Banff, Canada, September 15-18, 2024. Fenja, much success and a lively scientific exchange at this beautiful conference venue!
